Product Description
- There is nothing as delicious on a cold winter's day than braised oxtails. It used to be that they came from oxen, but today the oxtail comes from a cow of either sex. The tails are skinned and cut into sections. Each section has some marrow and meat surrounding the bone.
- Oxtails are very gelatinous and usually used for stocks, soups and braises. They take a long time to cook and are perfect as a braise or in the pressure cooker. Oxtails are common in Korean and Italian cuisines.
- Oxtails braised in red wine is a traditional dish requiring time to prepare. Add some beans and serve over buttery, creamy mashed potatoes.
- Oxtail stew is a favorite comfort food and is easy to prepare. It needs to cook for several hours for tenderness and the flavors to melt together.
- These tails are whole and ready to cook.
- Keep this product frozen until ready to use.
