  • Artichoke hearts are the edible center of a globe artichoke plant, which is a thistle cultivated as food. Artichokes are trimmed by hand leaving the whole hearts and saving you preparation time and product waste. They are packed in water, so just drain them and put them to work.
  • Artichoke hearts add an upscale appearance and taste to salads, casseroles or dips. Consider roasting artichokes with olive oil and seasonings or making an artichoke gratin.
  • Everyone knows about the artichoke and Parmesan dip, right? Consider adding freshly chopped jalapenos to the mixture before baking for a zing.
