Product Description
- These quality beef livers have been skinned and deveined to provide a tender texture and flavor. Liver is a lot richer in flavor than many other meats so these 4-ounce portions are usually ample for a main course. The livers are individually packaged for convenience and less waste.
- This cut is ideal for creating entrees, pate, sandwiches and many other applications.
- For an easy liver and onions, saute onion slices in butter until they are caramelized. When golden, remove them the pan and keep them warm in foil. Dredge the liver in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper and paprika and cook them in the same pan for about for 3 minutes per side. Do not overcook the liver or it will toughen.
- Here's a tip. Before cooking liver, make 1/8-inch cuts at 1-inch intervals around the outside of the slice so that it doesn't shrink and curl when cooked. Also, you can soak the meat in cow's milk before cooking to make the flavor more mellow, if desired.
- There are 40 livers per case. Rinse thoroughly before use.
- The livers are blast frozen to preserve freshness. Store in the freezer section for up to 365 days.
